Change of Plan

So we had a change of plan.

After buying a recordable message card we found that we no longer need to connect a relay switch to the speaker. 

With most typical musical cards the way they work is that when the card is opened it triggers the sound. The way it does this is a small paper hand which pushes a metal switch down. 

Although we figured out how to connect a relay switch to the speaker, it makes it a lot easier for us not having to connect a relay switch. This means not having to touch any of the wiring for the speaker. Its all done for us.

So now our place is to have a little cardboard hand connected to the mouth of the hippo. When the hippos mouth is opened it will trigger the sound to come on. 

To record our message all we need to do is press a small button on the speaker and talk. Nice and simple.
