Decomposition of the Brief

OVERVIEW
-design an interactive version of your chosen board game using your chosen technology.
-appropriation must be considered. i.e the realisation of the technology. Don't do something which is impossible to do
-Should encourage people to engage in the technology whilst keeping the essence of the original board game.
-Avoid function design and remember to involve artistic design. Think about aesthetics, think abstractly.

BOARD GAME
-Attempt to reach a your targeted audience
-Focus on the concept of the board game rather than focusing on the interactive space
-The interactive technology can be anything, such as webcam, wii remote, kinect, arduino
-Board game is chosen by first years, but technology chosen as a group (first years + second years)

OUTPUTS
-Abstract thinking
-Emphasis is on design
-Document the whole lifecycle of the project
-Derive requirements from brief
-Research the technical and artistic background to the board game
-Research the chosen environment and context
-Produce a deployment/operation plan
-Provide a description of how we would go about reflecting on the experience of the installation in use E.G outlining protocols, designing questionnaires, defining success criteria
